Our History

Delaware Valley Surgical Supply Co. (DVSS) was founded by two brothers as a local pharmacy in the 1940's.  In the late 50's, the company expanded its scope to meet the extensive needs of physician offices.  With the impact of a growing physician supply business, the company decided to close the pharmacy and create DVSS as the surgical and medical equipment supplier that it is today.

In the early 80's, ownership of DVSS was transferred from both brothers to the son of one of the brothers.  That event marked the rise of DVSS to its current position as the largest independent supplier of medical equipment, medical furniture and disposables to the alternate care sites in the Delaware Valley.

DVSS is concerned with much more than order numbers and product deliveries.  Staff experience is one of our highest priorities.  We are well aware that EXPERIENCE is key in responding to your needs, so we employ only service representatives who are seasoned professionals in their fields.  We know that there is no substitute for the hands-on touch that knowledgeable field representatives can bring to your office.  With DVSS, you can feel confident that you are getting the best service possible.
